Due to a vast majority of money intrests, a once conservative Replubican party demolishes any once thought up idea by conservatives. Ideas like family decision making, fiscal responsibility, individula liberty and a limited governement. All these ideas and thoughts were gone once the Abramoff's affair took place. A result now is, Bush and the rest of his party have turned the our government into into a government that doesn't respond to the peoples needs, but only to their individual needs and what may help them. The Bush Administration has changed the government. We now have a stricter more conservative Replublican Party. We now have the president dictating to our families about how to run our own private sitations.Lichtman is talking about also about a big government. But in a different way. A government used to reform society by working from the bottom up. By funding welfare, regulating business and advancing opurtunities for minorities. However with Bush in office, the goverment took a different turn on things. Bush is working from the top down.
